The multi-purpose Woodruff Arts Center includes the Alliance Theatre Company, High Museum of Art, Atlanta College of Art, 14th Street Playhouse and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The Center was built in 1955 and expanded twice in the 1960s. In 1994, a major renovation was embraced to prepare to receive the world and the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games.
